Driven by this unbreakable vision, a passionate group of interventional cardiologists in Kerala to found SCIP India in 2017. SCIP has ignited annual conferences with global pioneers in imaging and physiology. These gatherings don't just share knowledge—they spark revolutions, embedding precision PCI into our daily practice. And we're just getting started: focused sessions across centres empower teams to rise together! Let's unite for greatness with these bold objectives: Rally all interventionists passionate about cardiovascular imaging and physiology under one unstoppable banner. Ignite the exchange of ideas and triumphs to revolutionize interventional procedures. Fuel groundbreaking academic and scientific research that shapes tomorrow. Unleash monographs, technical series, and periodicals to inspire the world. Forge alliances with national and regional societies to champion precision PCI and evidence-based excellence. Dear Esteemed Members of SCIP,

It is with great honour and a dash of trepidation that I accept the role of Secretary of the Society for Coronary Intervention and Physiology of India. Alongside my fellow office-bearers, I am eager to steer SCIP into a new era of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.

Our mission is ambitious, but straightforward: to revolutionise cardiovascular care in India. Over the coming years, we will revamp SCIP’s structure to better serve you, the members, while expanding our reach. We will intensify our membership drive, welcoming young interventional cardiologists to join our vibrant community.

At the heart of our efforts lies a singular focus: to democratise the science of coronary imaging and physiology. Too few cath labs in India harness the power of intravascular imaging and functional assessments  This must change. Imaging is not a luxury—it is the key to safer, smarter interventions.

Our annual conference will become a global showcase of cutting-edge techniques, complex case discussions, and collaborative learning. Expect packed sessions on bifurcation stenting, CHIP procedures, and the latest trials. We’ll encourage case submissions from all corners of the country—your stories will shape the future of Indian interventional cardiology.

But this isn’t just about meetings. It’s about breathing fresh air into SCIP. We will foster partnerships with industry, academia, and international societies to amplify our impact. We will streamline communication, launch a revamped website, and create regional chapters to connect members nationwide.
